Pak memogate probe in limbo with RIM 'having no record of Haqqani-Ijaz messages'

Albuquerque Express (ANI) Wednesday 18th April, 2012

BlackBerry service provider Research in Motion (RIM) has said that it has no record of messages exchanged between former Pakistan envoy to US Husain Haqqani and American businessman Mansoor Ijaz.

RIM stated this in response to Haqqani's request to reveal messages of the period during which he was allegedly in contact with Ijaz.

He had sought from the company the record of May to October last year on the directives of the memo investigation commission, The Daily Times reports.

RIM, however, said in a statement that 'the time periods are beyond the data retention period for the services offered by the company'. (ANI)
