Duff feels her delivery was like a show

Albuquerque Express (IANS) Saturday 12th May, 2012

Singer Hilary Duff, who gave birth to a boy in March, says she luckily had an "easy" delivery, and joked that her family came to the hospital with snacks and soda to watch the "show".

Duff gave birth to her first child, a son named Luca Cruz Comrie, with hockey star husband Mike Comrie.

She admits her journey to becoming a mother has been an "amazing ride", reports dailystar.co.uk.

"It (the birth process) was very easy. I went into labour at about one in the morning and I very calmly had my bags packed and woke my husband up after about three hours of walking up and down my hallway. Then I'm like, 'OK, it's time to go. Let's go now.' We got in the car and drove to the hospital and that was it," Duff said on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".

However, she gave birth after spending nine hours in hospital, while her relatives began to grow restless.

"My family gets there and we wait all day and everyone is hungry. We're Southern and from Texas and my mum and my sister (actress-singer Haylie Duff) actually went down to the food court area."

"All of the sudden the doors bust open and my sister and my mum come flying in. They're like, 'We got barbecue chips and root beer, guys.' I (said), 'What? I'm pushing!' They were just arriving for a show with their chips and their root beer," she said.
