Dogs saved from OK tornadoes ready to be adopted

Posted at: 05/29/2011 6:58 PM By: Cristina Rodda, KOB Eyewitness News 4, Danielle Flores, KOB.com Close to two dozen dogs that survived the Oklahoma tornadoes arrived in Albuquerque on Sunday morning and they are in desperate need of a home. The Oklahoma shelter that housed these dogs was destroyed. Animal Humane Association of New Mexico rescued them and took them in. Aussie Border Collie mixes, Basset Hound mixes, Shepherds and even puppies make it out of Oklahoma's devastation. English John Murray of Animal Rescue Corps described the mess the shelters were in when he found them. "I seen absolutely obliterated shelters, one shelter had been completely torn out.
