Pay cut for Yahoo CEO

The CEO of Yahoo, Carol Bartz, has had her compensation package cut.

Ms Bartz, 62, is expected to take home much less than last year's pay.

Bartz received a $2.2 million bonus last year, up from $1.5 million in 2009.

She had received $10 million in cash and some restricted stock during 2009.

The sharp drop in the value of Bartz’s pay package has occurred due to expected revenue growth not being achievedd.

Since she arrived at the company Bartz has eliminated hundreds of jobs but has not been able to come up with strategies to push up the company’s stock price.

The company’s net revenue fell 6 percent in the first quarter.
