Forget planking, now it's 'Teapotting' that's making Oz youth crazy

Albuquerque Express (ANI) Wednesday 18th May, 2011

Marketed as a safer alternative to planking, a new sporting pursuit dubbed 'Teapotting' is now bidding to become the latest craze to dominate social media sites, after it attracted dozens of pictures and nearly 2,000 fans on Facebook.

Teapotting lets enthusiasts keep their feet as they raise one arm to mimic a spout while the other forms a handle.

It's not necessary for participants to sing "I'm a little teapot", but doing so garners more attention.

The Facebook page declares: "Teapotting is delicate and understated. It is at its most amusing when achieved during a conversation with a superior, especially when they don't notice", reports the Herald Sun.

"Unlike Planking, Teapotting is non-hazardous. We can almost guarantee that no one will be hurt while attempting a Teapot." (ANI)
