ROMBLON, Romblon, Hulyo 10 (PIA) -- Umarangkada na sa lalawigan ng Romblon simula noong Lunes ang panibagong round ng Labor Force Survey (LFS) ng Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA).
Sa panayam ng PIA kay Engr. Johnny F. Solis, Supervising Statistical Specialist ng PSA-Romblon, mayroong 384 sample households mula sa iba't ibang bayan ng Romblon ang pupuntahan ng kanilang mga enumerators.
Ang survey ay isasagawa sa 11 bayan na kinabibilangan ng Alcantara, Cajidiocan, Corcuera, Looc, Odiongan, Romblon, San Agustin, San Andres, San Fernando, Santa Fe at Sta. Maria kung saan tig-dalawang barangay ng mga ito ang nakatakdang bisitahin ng mga enumerators hanggang sa katapusan nitong Hulyo.
Layunin aniya ng LFS na alamin ang employment, unemployment at under employment rate sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga napiling samples.
Ayon pa kay Solis, malaki man o maliit na probinsiya ay 384 respondents ang mga kinuha na sasagot sa kanilang mga nakahandang questionnaire na sapat na aniyang samples.
Ipinaliwanag rin ng opisyal na ang naturang survey ay magiging basehan ng mga policy maker sa gobyerno sa kanilang pagbalangkas ng mga programa sa sector ng paggawa.
Nitong nakalipas na mga araw ay isinailalim sa isang buong linggong training ang pitong enumerators at dalawang field supervisors bilang paghahanda sa naturang survey.
Umaapela rin ang PSA - Romblon sa publiko partikular sa mga nagiging samples o subject ng mga ginagawang survey na itrato ng maayos ang kanilang mga enumerators dahil may mga pagkakataon na hindi nakikipag- cooperate ang kanilang mga respondents.(DMM/PIA-MIMAROPA/Romblon)
