Vesper Holdings ("Vesper") is pleased to announce that Dan Shoepe has been promoted to the position of COO at Campus Life & Style ("CLS"), its wholly-owned property management company. CLS manages Vesper's rapidly growing portfolio of student housing communities along with various student housing properties owned by its third-party management clients. With over 28,000 beds under management spread across 31 markets, CLS's student housing portfolio is one of the largest in the United States.
Mr. Shoepe brings more than twenty-three years of student housing property management experience to his role. He previously served as CLS's Senior Vice President of Operations. In his new role as COO, Mr. Shoepe will be responsible for planning and managing the company's day-to-day operations, assessing business strategies and their operational impact, and achieving company benchmarks and goals.
Prior to joining CLS in 2016, Mr. Shoepe served as American Campus Communities' ("ACC") Regional Vice President, a position which was held from 2008 to 2015. He was responsible for the overall fiscal operations, physical asset management, leasing of assets and personnel administration for a 35-property portfolio of owned properties with $144M in annual revenues. Mr. Shoepe received a B.S in Management from Penn State University and has an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
