BUENOS AIRES, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Anibal Moreno scored a stoppage-time winner as Racing Club rose to second in Argentina's Primera Division standings on Friday with a 4-3 home win over Rosario Central.
Carlos Alcaraz gave the hosts the lead in the eighth minute before goals from Facundo Almada, Facundo Buonanotte and Alejo Veliz handed the visitors a 3-1 advantage just after the half-hour mark.
But Racing emerged from halftime with renewed confidence and drew level after Emiliano Vecchio and Maxi Romero both struck in the space of three minutes.
Moreno then restored Racing's lead by thumping home a close-range header following Nicolas Oroz's cross from the left flank.
Fernando Gago's men now have 40 points from 22 matches and trail leaders Atletico Tucuman by just one point.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Friday, Colon won 4-2 at Estudiantes, Newell's prevailed 1-0 against Union Santa Fe and Tigre secured a 3-0 home win over Aldosivi.
