BUENOS AIRES, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Racing Club rose to fourth in Argentina's Primera Division standings on Friday with a 3-1 away win over Union Santa Fe.
Maximiliano Romero gave the visitors the lead with a 24th-minute strike, and the hosts were dealt a major blow shortly after when Mauro Luna was shown a straight red card for an ugly challenge on Gabriel Rojas.
Yeison Gordillo equalized just after the hour mark before Racing restored their advantage through a Matias Rojas penalty and a Paolo Guerrero goal in the last minute.
The result leaves Racing Club with 14 points from eight games, just two points behind leaders San Lorenzo.
Union Santa Fe are 23rd in the 28-team standings with one win, four draws and three losses so far.
